1. Diyi Yang — Stanford SALT Lab (Postdoc + PhD)

Diyi Yang is an assistant professor in Stanford's Computer Science Department, affiliated with the Stanford NLP Group, SAIL, and the Stanford HCI Group. Her SALT Lab works on socially aware NLP, large language models, and human-AI interaction. Recent publications include work across ICML 2026, ICLR 2026, ACL 2025, NeurIPS 2025, and multiple SIGCHI best paper awards. 1
Currently open: 1-2 postdoc positions (rolling). PhD applications accepted through the standard Stanford CS admissions committee process (no cold email needed for PhD). Visitors from outside Stanford also taken on a rolling basis (minimum 6-month stay preferred).

2. Yonatan Belinkov — Technion (PhD, 2026-2027 cohort)

Yonatan Belinkov is an associate professor at the Technion's Taub Faculty of Computer Science. He is spending 2025-2026 at the Harvard Kempner Institute and will return to the Technion for the 2026-2027 academic year. His lab works on interpretability of large language models, robustness and safety, emergent communication, and biological language models. He publishes regularly at EMNLP, ICLR, ACL, and NeurIPS. 3

3. Meng Jiang — Notre Dame FAML Lab (Postdoc, 2027 start)

Meng Jiang is an associate professor at the University of Notre Dame and director of the Foundation Models and Applications (FAML) Lab, housed within the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society. His lab focuses on personalized and agentic LLMs, LLM reasoning and evaluation, multimodal AI, and interdisciplinary applications including AI for science and education. He has published extensively at ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, and KDD. 4
Currently open: 1 postdoc position, with a 2027 start date. The research topic emphasizes interdisciplinary collaborations.

4. Ai2 Young Investigator — Robotics Team (Postdoc)

The Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) has opened a new Young Investigator slot on its Robotics team, led by Dieter Fox. The Ai2 YI program is a postdoc-equivalent role: candidates balance 50% collaborative work on Ai2 and UW projects with 50% independent research. Salary is listed at $159,650, with a dedicated mentor, generous travel budget, full visa support, and up to $100K research seed funding after program completion. 6
This position is distinct from the FlexOlmo YI slot covered in Issue #2 — that one is Berkeley-based and NLP-focused; this one is Seattle-based and centers on robot learning.
Research focus: Robot foundation model scaling and generalization; manipulation and skill acquisition; large-scale GPU-accelerated simulation; sim-to-real transfer; fully open-source research.
Eligibility: Within one year of PhD completion, or PhD already in hand. Prior publications at RSS, CoRL, ICRA, NeurIPS, CVPR, ECCV, or ICCV preferred.

Her H2Lab publishes at NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, EMNLP, and NAACL, and leads the OLMo open language model project. H2Lab won the best paper award at EMNLP 2025 for Infini-gram mini. 8 9
